Welcome To JR Timber

JR Timber is a family-owned and operated lumber, construction and firewood company. We are located in the northern Ontario, near the city of Timmins. Our company cherishes the relationships we have with our business partners, and we would love to build such a relationship with you and your organization.

JR Timber is a newly established small-town business and thrives on the passion for the forestry industry. The business is solely owned by James Ryan (JR) Martin, who holds much enthusiasm and energy towards each and every log that is milled and/or split and is eager to share this passion with others. JR has always had a passion for forestry and it has been his hobby since he was a child and therefore has much experience in all different aspects of the industry, from falling trees and clearing properties to milling logs and chopping firewood. He shares this hobby with his family members and has had their support for his idea to share his preoccupation with the community by starting a firewood and lumber business. JR bought his first sawmill in 2005 and began using it to mill lumber for decks and siding for his cottage. JR just recently purchased a wood processor as the newest addition to the business; however, he still cuts wood by hand when he has free time, as it has always been a hobby of his. JR has a well-established work ethic and holds the standards high for good customer service and quality products.
